Lost chart knowledge

I was filing a flight plan the other day and something caught my eye that reminded me that something I once knew is now lost in space.

Here is the scenario...bring up skyvector.com and look at sbj vor connecting through victor airways to cmk.

Say I wanted to have a flight plan take me only from sbj to cmk. There are 3-4 airways listed. Between those two points the ones that continue all the way across are V3,V405 and V419. Which airway would I actually file? My next thought is since they are all technically the same airway does it even matter or will atc change it to what they want? There are numerous scenarios involving this and I do not recall if there is a significance in the airway you pick. I know if you are filing a long plan you pick the airway that continues furthest through your route but this is different.

I did not need this during my flight planning but saw it and realized that where the answer once was is now an empty hole in my mind probably filled by something more useless than this trivia.

BONUS QUESTION..I want to leave an airport tomorrow say no earlier than 2pm but I am not sure exactly when I will leave so I file for 2PM. I end up not picking up my clearance until 4pm. The question is..we all know your clearance pops up 30 mins prior but how long is it valid for AFTER my ETD where I can still pick it up?

I know some of you crusty CFIIs out there in the trenchs remember this stuff.

I don't think it really matters what airway you file. I've filed between 2 points before with multiple airways and I filed different airways each time and ATC didn't care. Also didnt' matter because I never got what I asked for. :D

Your flight plan will stay in the system for 2 hours past your ETD. I didn't learn this in training, I learned it from Flight Service when I tried to amend my departure time because I was delayed for 45 minutes and was asked "why are you changing this--you don't need to."

The system is more concerned with connecting points instead of actual airway designations so whichever of the airways you file, it's fine as long as your waypoints are in sequence that correpond to that airway, make sense?

Right. It doesn't matter. The only difference from a filing standpoint is when those joined airways diverge. For example, if once reaching CMK, I was going to continue on to HFD, I would just file CMK V3 HFD just because it's less typing.
