FAA Internships?

I'v heard things from friends around the country about internships they are accessed to with the F.A.A. Anyone know who to talk to about getting these and anything you may need to be eligible for them?

Thanks,
Matthew Montgomery

Hi Matthew -

I did an internship at the Atlantic City FAA facility. It was 3 credits when I was in college, and I saw it on the bulletin board or an e-mail from my college's career resources office. I pursued it after that.

I think the only way to get the internship would have been through a college/university but I am not certain.

We have an intern right now who just called up and asked for an internship. You don't necessarily need to go through a college/university. In fact, I'd rather see someone who takes the initiative on their own. From what I've seen, universities often try to set up reoccurring internship "opportunities" as a method of advertising and selling their programs. Decide where you'd like to intern and call up and ask, it can't hurt.

Awesome! Thanks for the info.
