Any AVIANCA Pilots HERE?

I am thinking about going back to Colombia (mi tierra) and Fly for Avianca, but don't know anyone in the industry/airline overthere that can give me some advise about the process, requirements, people to talk to/call...en fin.....also I'd like to know if Avianca is currently hiring pilots or not

Any help and Advise will be greatly appreciated.
 
Have you checked pprune? I bet you would have better luck there. I someday hope to fly for COPA -mi tierra ;) but I think that's a pipe dream with the family and the house here in AZ.

1/4 of my family is from Colombia (Cartagena), what an amazing country, far from the stereotype that runs around the world, especially in the US.

I do know that there is some hiring going on there, and that it is pretty easy to get hired if you are a local. Lots of local pilots left for the middle east and India, especially for the pay..so there is openings

Most new hire there are fresh pilots, I think conversion it's about 4K dollars, but to get a job you will have to get some contacts...
