In-Flight Internet

ClearedForOption

Displaced... again.
Just enjoying some free in-flight internet on the way home after four four-days in a row with 1 day inbetween them. I am just plain beat - and looking forward to the unexpected holiday off. Thanks 'PBS Unstacking.' No JRA for me today - ACARS was broken.

Here's the geeky things I have done so far online:

1.) Took a picture of myself (below) in the plane. People looked at me oddly.
2.) Checked where the plane was on Flight Aware.
3.) Posted to Facebook - that I was on a plane. (and clicked on my daily MafiaWars fix... will the clicking never end?)
4.) Looked for employment.
5.) Tried to video chat with my wife... she hasn't gotten up yet.
6.) In homage to NWA - checked my schedule and tried to log onto PBS... 5 hrs to go and they still haven't posted the award yet. I might get Christmas off too with how screwed things up are over here.
7.) Looked at my schedule on FLICA, but left my flight bag in ORD, so no chance of changing anything.
8.) Oh, yeah... puttered around on the JC Forums

Internet on a plane is kinda fun - nice to know that there is no where on the earth that is safe from communication anymore. Not even at FL330 going 500 mph.

The guy 3 rows back on the left looks concerned.....:) In-flight internet is definately better than reading the same in-flight magazine 3 times.

He must be one of those guys who are the reason they make privacy filters for laptops, and have the commercial with the airplane seats. LOL.

I've yet to try inflight internet, but i would definitly imagine it would be more entertaining than the inflight mag would be. Assuming the battery on whatever device would last.

Glad I didn't put up that 'Arabic countdown' website...

PBS Unstacking?? Do you work for Mesa? :p

Not for long... scheduled to be furloughed in 1-3 months. I don't think that they even know the date yet.

Oh, and the audio chat with my Wife worked GREAT!!!! She was sitting in the dining room eating cereal chatting with me while I cruised home. And, I was unstacked... again. 90 hrs of flying with my carryover. No commutable trips - Christmas in CHS. :(

At least you're still a 'lineholder'. I've been commuting to reserve in IAD ever since I got booted from CLT, but hey, I got the 24th-27th of Dec off ;-) and Thanksgiving this month.

Your lucky, GoGo? AA Employees don't get it free, only 25% off.
