question about getting clearance over KBOS

Anyone have advice for me? My intended route of flight tomorrow is KBED to KBVY (to pick up the wife...10 minute stop) then onto KCQX. I have been advised to try to stay over land and, on the map, it looks like flying over KBOS seems to be the way to go; without excessive detouring.

I want to call approach as i leave KBVY, and I dont want to sound like an idiot. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

thanks ahead of time!

If it's not too late, just call BOS approach on departure with "N1xx off BVY requesting Bravo @ XX(altitude)" Short and sweet at first, after reply explain where you are headed and that you want to fly over land as clear and concise as you can. Should be nice weather up there today so just be prepared to see the traffic they call out it helps a lot especially if you throw in "..and we'll maintain visual separation". Nothing is more annoying than a VFR aircraft in the Bravo that doesn't see traffic when everyone else can.

Hey, I'm the guy once in a Class C that got a traffic advisory for a B717, and never did dee him until he flew 1000 feet directly underneath me. The funny thing is, when he got the traffic alert, he was able to see a C172.

Ok, sorry, end hijack
