On the road this year as an aerial survey pilot. I'm sure most of you guys know about the job description but, for those who don't, youre on the road for seven months and not going home for anything, not even a holiday.
We started the first week of November and actually got underway on the road here about two weeks ago. In those two weeks, I've flown about 50 hours. So far I've been in Rochester, NY, Johnstown, PA, Atlantic City, NJ, Pittsburgh, PA and now at KLUK in Cincinnati, OH.
Radisson Hotel in DT Rochester, NY.
Leaving Rochester, NY for Johnstown, PA
Hills of PA, sure is no good landing spot out here!
Downtown Johnstown, PA
After about four days of work in Johnstown, PA I left for Atlantic City, NJ.
Arrival in Atlantic City, NJ. The red bag is all of my stuff for this seven month adventure.
View from the 27th floor of the Trump Marina Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ.
Working over Atlantic City, NJ
After the Atlantic City, NJ project which was one day of work, I flew to Pittsburgh, PA.
Cloud Surfing
This solid layer went from about KILG to about 25 miles east of the NESTO Intersection. Which is about 100nm.
Just west of Pittsburgh enroute to KLUK, I assume this is West Virginia.
Some rain showers in the distance
Pretty flat out here in Ohio
Rain, going through some light weather here in Ohio
At the end of the day, 5.1hrs of flying, I did the ILS 21L into KLUK. It wasn't terrible, broke out at around 600 feet, -ra, br.
