XBox On The Road?

Has anyone here ever brought their XBox360 on the road? If so, how did you carry it? Was it worth it? I'm thinking about bringing mine... I've had some long overnights lately without much to do, so playing some hockey or MW2 sounds like a good way to pass the time. Especially with winter coming.

NHL 10? If so, is it better than 09?

YES and YES. ;)

I would think you'd have to take it out through security? That would sort of be a pain.

Eh, bring it instead of a laptop. No biggie there. I'm just curious about weight/carrying case.

Can it be hooked up to your PFD or ND and have the audio piped into your headset?

No we hook it up through the FMS. That's why we have a "VIDEO" button. The only issue is getting under the console to plug in the cables, which is no small feat. Luckily we avoid clouds, so it's not bumpy enough to dislodge the cables that are so delicately connected to the system. It sucks you guys have to go through all that weather, because it's hard to shoot the enemy in Modern Warfare 2 when your controller is bouncing all over the place.

From what I hear, you can actually fly the EMB-145 through an XBox controller. Luckily I have strong thumbs, so I might try it. Life has been difficult in the left seat with this bicycle yoke. You need strong wrists to fly this airplane, and I'm right handed.

I've actually pondered this.

I'm going to recommend not doing it. The 'red ring of death' is caused by a loosening of the main processor heat sink. Jostling the unit around in transit will likely contribute to this.

I've since repaired/modified my console (it was out of warranty) to correct the RROD, but I'm not taking chances.

I saw something online the other day for the top gadgets for the holiday season. One of them was a product that let you play your home xbox360, ps3, through any broadband internet connected computer anywhere. It worked like slingbox, can't remember what it was called though.

Dude, if you carry one on the road with you, I'll go buy one, just so I can smack your ass down. My cousin just bought Modern Warfare and I can't stop playing.

Just buy one anyway. Then we can smack each other around. :)

BTW, did you have an overnight in ICT a couple of weeks ago with an early show?

I've heard of a guy here that brings his on trips.

From what i've heard, just a standard laptop-ish size bag that would fit would do just fine, but of course-the shaking around and handling can be an issue i would imagine.

Sometimes i get annoyed just bringing a small laptop around, but it seems like it would be fun to bring the xbox.

I'm be worried about breaking mine by accident.

Modern Warfare 2 Tactical Ops are TOTALLY INSANE.

I was tempted to pack my XBox inspite of my warnings.

I gotta give the team props on this one- the storyline of the Campaign is damned amazing.

TOTALLY did not see some things coming.

I will once I hit my first million! Nah, wasn't me. I had my PC last week in SLC, and a SFO trip before that. ICT and Taliban don't mix.

I put my PS2 in a laptop bag with 3 or 4 games... but that's only if I know I'm going to be in the crashpad any length of time. The crashpad gets pretty boring.

Hey guys since this is a gaming thread..

Maybe I'm the only guy who hasn't played and couldn't tell you the difference between a XBox, Playstation or a Wii.

I've been thinking of getting one for Christmas....Which is the best gaming platform? Is there any new platform on the immediate horizon that I should wait for?

I had a Sega Genesis probably 12 years ago and I played an old Playstation a few times at a crashpad...I couldn't believe the controller shook!
