Maybe he's out celebrating, but someone up in this neck of the woods got their multi-comm knocked out yesterday...Where you at???? We are awaiting the debrief.....Congrats!!!!

Didn't even see this thread until now.


Checkride started at 2:30, got everything done around 6. Almost failed on the practical. Engine failures after takeoff he said I was flirting on the borderline bottom of the A/S indicator. He said 1-2 knots slower and he would have failed me. Other than that everything went smooth, he had to get creative and make a hood because I forgot mine! Doh!

Twin flying is fun, I don't know how I'm going to go back to singles.

Oh and it took me 18 hours with checkride, I took a month off due to school and the flight school I'm at likes to stretch things out. oh well.

CFI is next...

I know it was a huge load off my back, I imagine the same for you.
I don't remember if I was as worried about my previous 2 checkrides as they were long ago in what feels like a different life.

You know, I didn't study that much for this checkride, I was very relaxed so that was strange.

CFI already started, took my FOI, taking my FAI in the next 4 weeks, and getting my CFI binder together

It is! Apparently a $20k upgrade and it's only $10 more an hour than the regular one.

Well kind of, parents loaned me 20k for flight training with the intent of me paying it off but now said it's a graduation present, unless I drop out then I have to pay back. That and student loans. However, I did some searching and found a very affordable school with super cheap airplanes.
