Intrument rating ground school

I'm starting my instrument training soon and I'm looking for the best DVD ground school. I really like the King videos, because they help stick topics to you, but there kinda expensive. Also interested in the Jeppeson Guided flight Instrument/Commercial DVD. Looking for reviews before I waste more money of flight training. lol

I just read the Jepp text, as well as the IPH and IFH. Of course I'm the type who can just read something and learn it.
 
I have the king's Instrument ground/Check ride courses. I passed my instrument ride about 2 months ago so I have no use for them.

I'd also agree with this, but supplement it as much as you can with other sources. I found there is a lot of good material available for free or a lot less than what a DVD series goes for these days.

You're probably going to have to work harder to learn the material that way, but the IPH and IFH have a lot of very in-depth material. Then again, I haven't watched a DVD series so I am, in truth, talking out of my ass.
 
I used the Sporty's instrument DVD course. It was useful, but like some of the others have said, I think by using it, in combination with other books,videos,etc..really helped more than just the DVD set. If I were guessing, I'd say there isnt much difference in any of the different brands of DVD's, they are all gonna cover the same material :)

This is what I did. The FAA already gives away everything you need to know for free - just study it.

I've watched some of the DVD courses. Honestly, what is easier? Reading it on a TV screen or in a book?
 
"Hi folks, I'm Josh Pruzak"....ughhhh.... I watched those DVD's way too much. On the upside I think ASA does a good job
 
I used set of "Cleared for Approach" DVD's purchased on a popular auction website for about 1/3 price of new. It is 95% John & Martha (& friends) from King. Good program, passed the written practices & CATS exam without any problems.

Both. But I tend to remember things better if I can actually see it and or being explained in detail. Has anyone tried ASA virtual ground school?
