Video: Last Midwest Mainline Flight

If only man. If only.

I miss Midwest already. God damn this industry and it's management.

It always sucks to see a good airline end its legacy. Midwest goes the way of the PanAm, Braniff, TWA, Western, Eastern, PSA, etc.

Sad indeed. RAH will never be able to replace the real Midwest. I can't even imagine doing that last flight, knowing that when I get to base that I am done and my flying has been outsourced.

So, who was the Air Wisconsin guy who (although meaning well) went on record with evidence that he wasn't up to date with the company he was supporting? If you're gonna go on record, at least get the company name right!

Sad, very sad. It would be a hundred steps in the right direction if RAH pilots refused to fly Midwest colors, however, under the RLA, that is illegal. Until that changes, big changes for the better will be hard to achieve.

Get a rope!!! (New York City?!?!) String him up!!!

Yea, THAT'S what's wrong with the situation. The whole video is garbage because an Air Wisc guy called it Midwest Express. Many of the loyal passengers do/did, too.

Come on. You should remember that.

He's a great guy. No need to attack him. Sometimes I forget and still call it that, too.

If the airlines can't make money we won't be able to get pay raises. The way to make more money is to ensure the majors make money again.

No money for corporate = no money for pilots

Of course, if we knew how to do that, we'd be running the next Southwest.

Watching that video brought back the incredible sadness of our last day at Skyway. I think one of the things that made working there, and I assume at Midwest as well, was the luxury of working for a small airline- a place where you really did know everybody. It was a great group of people and as much as I miss flying, I miss flying with the crews even more. It really was the employees, well most of them at least, :) that made Midwest something really special!!

I dunno, something along the lines of charging what your product is worth across the board comes to mind, but that would make too much sense.

The video was very sad. These employees weren't people full of greed, they were good people trying to put food on the table. Moms and dads putting clothes on their son's back or footing the bill for their daughter's college tuition. That was hard to watch.

They're union though, it's all their fault since they didn't cave into the demands of management.

Duh.
