Wings over Homestead

I'll be there Friday... they're trying to get more people in for the weekend.

BTW, from Lt Col Joe "Hooter" Feheley:
If you have a neat airplane that you would like to bring here for the weekend I can make it happen on very short notice. Please call me on my cell and email me your info. The plane would have to be here tomorrow (Friday) and stay here until Monday. We can provide you with a hotel room on the base and come up with a small amount of gas. We are having parties on Friday and Saturday night for the performers and static display folks to include the Thunderbirds. If you are interested or know someone who has a neat airplane and might be interested please call me right away at 305-776-3221. Thanks.

We'll be in PBI/BCT for a trip. Might see if I can either talk my copilot into going down Saturday, or bumming a ride from one of you folks from up that way.

Just got back to our hotel in Lauderdale. Excellent show. The weather cleared up for the Thunderbirds. Most of the day it was broken to overcast with a few breaks in the clouds during certain performances. It really played havoc on us photogs. Not to mention, military gray against gray skies really doesn't play nice with autofocus.

I got some decent shots, so I'll post them in a little while when I process them.

Didn't see it. We didn't walk all the way down to the heavy iron on the east side of the airport, but I don't believe it was.

Pretty good show. That's the first time I've seen a zero out this way.

probably wasn't actually a zero.

There are very very few left flying today, so they paint up T-6's to look like them and change the body a bit. Shhhh don't say anything though, its supposed to be a secret. :)

No kidding! We were on the tram toward the flight line when that thing was flying. HOLY CRAP! Nearly the same roll rate as an Extra 300!
