We're stone soup man, every little bit will help. Big or small doesn't necessarily matter as much as it does that you're here for Ben's family in his absentia. Hell, if you want to write as little as a email or short PM, I'll send it in the package.

If I get mine in the mail tomorrow will that be enough time, or should I just go ahead and do it via paypal? I wanted to do it sooner but I was away from home.

Sorry I can't give more, but I just wanted to be sure to donate something.
go ahead and put it in the mail. you'll be fine!

I wasn't able to give much, and paypal wasn't nice to me but I got it through last night. I will also be saving up to send decent amount for Christmas.

I'll see if I can gather a few bucks from people at work too.

We miss you Ben.

I'm very sorry to hear of this. I can only imagine what his family is going through and will keep them in my prayers. I haven't been on here long and rarely post, nor did I know Ben personally, but recognized who he was immediately when I saw his avatar. I know he posted frequently here and was a well liked member of this community. From the posts of his I read, I also know that he was a knowledgeable member and I'm sure his contribution to both this site and the aviation community will be sorely missed. I'm more than happy to give what I can to the donation in his name. I also find it commendable and honorable that there has been a memorial set up for him on this site. Shows true class and character of the organizers and contributors and is indicative of how great this community is.

Donated. I know money is no substitute for a husband and a father, but I hope it helps through this difficult time.

My heart felt condolences go out to his family.

Another aviation forum also lost a well-known member in the past week. It's interesting to see the reaction from an online community when it loses one of its own. Sadly, considering the number of members we have, it was inevitable that this would eventually happen to one of our own.

RIP

Just sent my donation in via paypal. We'll miss your posts and smile around here buddy, clear skies and tailwinds, and you have a extended family here on JC.

Donation from MSP made to fund. Only briefly chatted at NJC '07 but he will be missed by his JC family. Seeing the picture of his wife and two girls makes my heart ache every time. Wishing his family the best! Jim

Pitched in... I would be more interested though, in a follow up drive. Once we see where the family stands, and if possible learn what their needs are I think we as a community could do more help. Whether it's groccery runs, a fund raiser with a goal, helping the family move into what it has now become, can be more helpfull than cash sometimes.
