I only knew him from the fishing avatar and the commercial gold seal CFI signature, but he always had something funny to say.

RIP.

What a sad story, RIP and my condolences to the family. Would it be possible to put a badge on the homepage in memorial of Ben? Just a suggestion.

Mr. Ben... Rest in Peace buddy, we will all meet up with you again for a ultimate Network JC in heaven :) Cya later... God bless you and your family.

That is an absolutely beautiful obituary. I shouldn't have read it at work, though. I'm tearing up....:(

To the members of Jet Careers...

My name is Joseph Hill and I'm Ben's older brother. I just wanted to express my gratitude at the absolute deluge of support you have all shown. I'm very proud of who Ben and what he accomplished. To see your memory of him being so positive makes me feel like we should all have no regrets about who he was.

For me, I grieve for him simply by missing him and wishing we had a just a few more outings together. We had so many similar interests. I suspect that I'll go my whole life wishing he could "come along." And though those thoughts will be painful, in a way I'll be glad to be thinking of him.

Thank you again for loving my brother. I'm sure that if he could, he would have made siblings of you all.

Regards,

Joseph Hill

We were just happy to have him as a contributor to this site.

So often, on internet chat boards, "online persona" and attitude obscure so much of the information out there. JC exists to offer friendship, support, networking and information without the bickering.

Ben's posts were exactly what the "Mission" of jetcareers is all about. He offered help, support, advice, encouragement, in a positive manner to any who needed it.

We were lucky to have him here. :)

Thank you for stopping in to share with us. May the comfort of the good Lord above surround you and your family as the years go by.

Joseph, thank you for taking the time to visit the website.

Ben was family as he was a member of this website and will be missed by all of us.

Not sure if he would have made us siblings, but, he would have shoved a fishing pole in our hands!

Thank you Joseph. As you already know we are all going to miss Ben here too. There aren't too many people like him. Something to be very proud of.

As I'm preparing for my ATP checkride in 2 weeks I had to pull out this Multi Engine DVD he gave to me 2 and half years ago. It was very hard seen his handwriting on it. I'm sure he's in a better place now and probably helping others there too.

well, the donation is only going on until tomorrow i think, so linking it wouldn't really provide anything after the fact. Linking it to this particular thread, however, would be more appropriate and doable.:)

EDIT: Sorry, the donations going on until November 6

If anybody wants to share a ride down to the funeral from SLC, I'm planning on departing Cottonwood Heights around 9:15 or so.
