If you could have any Aircraft

Definitely would have to be the P-61 Black Widow. Just an unique aircraft to fly and has a wicked name.

Imma let YOU finish...but any airplane started with a hand-cranked inertia starter...

Looking through this thread, I find myself saying, "I want one of those....and one of those....oh, and that one too."

There has always been a special place in my heart, thought, for the Citation X. Very sleek that one is.

It's got to be the Porter. Turbine taildragger, sticks, doors on both sides, and it will take a set of floats or skis.

Fuel and pilot(s) supplied as needed. oh and free MX (common... we can all dream)

I vote for F-14 Tomcat, one of the newer models because it can carry the Phoenix missile. The best aircraft the Navy has flown in my books.

Now in the cheerforce I would choose the F-22. Second to the Tomcat!

can i say, jealous?

After the Hog, it was to this for the remaining 4 years and change. The cockpit of one, maintenance working on one. And their final disposition:

.........and on Oct 28th, I head down to beautiful, humid southern AL to get trained on the first pic; which is handy because we also fly what's in the second pic:

Old Skool H-model to boot.....

I would build my own--several--actually.

I would hire the bravest minds to push the edge of what the human mind can do with wind to bring us places.

Where are the frontiers?

  • elegance (listed first, on purpose)
  • speed
  • cargo load
  • "mud bogging"
  • flight on different planets.
Spaceport America is on the right track.

Cordially,

p.s. I would like Lancair, as a cherry on top.

LOL.....nah, I was wanting to mainly show what became of such a beautiful plane, as evidenced in the last pic.

Sad sight. But, they died where they were born and bred, at least.

EDIT: Also, I just noticed the cockpit photo. The bottom left of the pic is either coincidentally taken, or strategically taken so as to not reveal the aft portion of the left console.

and did you strategically leave the reason why they did that?

Yeah. The fun stuff is back there on that part of the panel.

I'd have to tell you either at NJC, or over drinks/dinner etc.....

....That way, I could snap your neck quickly right after! :D
