Yay, ATL!

This is AFTER the 15 minute taxi from the FBO on the north side to the south runways. Hangin out on Mike. Good times. Apologies for cell phone camera quality...

PS. There were probably half again as many BEHIND me.

Gotta LOVE ATL!

Whatcha flying? Wondering because you can run out of minimum fuel just by waiting to taxi because of the delay's there.

Beech 99. Yeah, I was loaded to the gills (less fuel, obviously) and wound up shutting down the left one to save some gas. That didn't last long after I tried taxiing the thing on one engine with the famous 99 "gently suggest" nosewheel steering. By the time I got to the end I had just enough to be legal.

Sweet... I was a part of the 10 AM line... flew an out and back to BNA and to TLH

That's why it's called the money line! Not sure about OALs, but at SJA, they know about the historical delays caused by banks in ATL and that time is added to the scheduled flight time. Sat for 0+45 the other day and still blocked in early.

Compare to JFK, which one is worse? ATL or JFK?

flew on top JFK few times, always see a long line for takeoff.

Hey, were you taxiing directly behind one of your company caravans? If so you taxiied right in front of me as you crossed 8R on your way through the ramp. I almost made a comment "you know it would probably be easier to fly one big plane instead of two little ones" but it was kinda busy :-P

Heh that was me. Yeah one big plane would be ok with me, but I don't think DHL would like the time it takes to make four stops!

Don't you believe it. The real lesson here is that Atlanta is overrun with JCers and requires a meet and greet in the near future. Preferably on Saturday night, since that's pretty much the only time I'm not being treated like a galley slave by DHL.

I'm up for that. I've been flying a bunch but I've spent more time in my crashpad downtown than I have at home in LIT.

Hey I saw you too...I was wayyy back there, the C208 musta been loaded too b/c it really limped into the air...soemone in the line up even said something llike "He must be heavy". I think you had the door open when we taxied by.

lol, on leg 3, while we were sitting about 8th in line, we watched Tsunami continually get passed up for takeoff on 8R.... finally after a 73 they got the green light.... "Tsunami 7 have you started your turn yet???" lol!
