Opnions on Flight Express

I submitted a resume to them and am looking for some input about them. Things like QOL, open bases, etc. I see they are looking for guys again on uspilot (but I hear they recycle ads). It also says they are looking on their website. Thanks in advance.

I have an opinion that you probably don't want to hear.

Please divulge. PM if you don't what it made public. The problem I am having is that no one is hiring right now, and I can't seem to make ends meet. I quit job #2 because I had a student take a check ride, and I got ripped to pieces from the DPE for the airplanes being of such poor quality, among other things. It's a long story. The thing was, I was only at that school till he finished, so I didn't leave him (the student) out to dry so close to his check ride. What I am worried about is moving my family across the nation for a something I am going to regret.

I wouldn't move across the street for a company under Bayside's umbrella.
My discontent with Flight Express is they are cheaper product then Airnet so many of my friends lost their jobs because they cost more. If that kinda thing happened in a few forums up there would be pitch forks and torches out.

Do you have some direction to steer me in then. Other than these guys. I submitted my resume to AMF, called HR in BUR a few times, but never heard back. If I move, it has to be worth the move, as I have to take tha family with me.

I liked flying for FLX a lot. If you have specific questions PM me. Or better yet, search on the term and you should find current FLX pilots, who are probably the best people to ask.

You didn't fly for a Bayside FLX.

As far as where to turn. I'm too bitter and jaded with the three companies mentioned. If you can live on AMF 'Chieftan pay than I say probably the best option.

I may get flamed for this, but doesn't Bayside own Amerijet or something along those lines? I honestly can't remember and am too lazy to look it up, but if the answer is yes, that alone should answer any questions.

I worked for both the old and the new Airnet, pre- and post-Bayside. I miss the old company terribly, glad to be gone from the new one incredibly.

Yes Bayside owns Amerijet and Flight Options which is by far the most abused of the large fractionals.

This is 100% true. And things may suck over there too. I certainly wouldn't go back (were I in a position to have to consider the option...which let's face it, just about anyone could be these days) with the expectation that it would be stable or Borgside wouldn't screw me over. Which is why I suggested that asking a current FLX pilot their thoughts and feelings would be a whole lot more useful than either an Airnet or an FLX alum.

Believe you me, come The Revolution, I'll be right out there with you at the barricades, hoisting the Borgside loafer-wearing parasite class to their well-deserved new homes on the lamp-posts. In the meantime, though, I think the only fair thing to do is give the guy my earnest opinion of what it's like to work for FLX, and caution him to talk to guys who are there now before pulling the trigger. We may be drun...I mean loners, but at least we aren't Frosty Tips blaming each other for the vagaries of management.

PS. Ameriflight totally stole Subair's flying! I heard they just put in a bid on my run!!!*@&#*@ ;)

PPS. Yes, it's worth doing a little research on FLOPS and Gemini (and Airnet) if you want to see the extrapolated end result of being owned by Borgside. But I know all to wickedly well how it feels to say "Any port in a storm".
