Post em if ya got em.

I haven't done this, but I think it might be good one to pull (when I get another cfi gig).

At my last job we had a lot of Indian students who where very polite--yes sir, no sir--etc and the chief was a Brit.

My nefarious plot is to enlist my fellow cfi's into "teaching" our new recruits that the proper way to say "yes" to a chief pilot in America is to say "Okey Dokey."

Gotta be gentle with the chief (and keep your job) but if you can get a Brit to express the "affirmative" as "okey dokey" to every body from the Indian Sub-continent, then you have done your job as an American CFI.

Re: Jokes to play on the chief pilot and still keep your job

I had the flight school's phone number plugged in my cell phone, open and finger on the "send" button in my pants pocket. Another CFI (not chief, but depending upon how friendly you are with you Chief Pilot, this may work) walked in the door shortly after a flight. I clicked send having the school phone's ring... promptly I answered the phone:

"Thank you for calling ..... how can i help you?

Oh... who was just flying (insert tail number here)? One second, let me see if I can find out. can I place you on hold?

*turns to CFI who just walked in, knowing he flew that plane...*

Hey did you just fly (insert tail number here, he responds with yes... see his facial expression drop)

*pulling the phone off of hold* Yes, I found the pilot would you like to speak with him? *pause* Oh sure... just one second.

Hey so and so, it's for you.... I think tower is calling. *hand him the phone*

Make a fake Facebook and post hilarious things on it.

Call em up when you know they won't answer the phone and leave the message,

"Hello, my name is <fake name=""> [fake name] of the Federal Aviation Administration calling for [cheif pilot name here] <insert name="" here="">. We have a few questions about [some bs] that occurred recently, please contact me at <leave your="" phone="" number="">[your phone number].</leave></insert></fake>

I just thought of a new one.

If you work at a shop where the CFI's have to where the tie and bars, then tell the new CFI's coming in that "Friday is casual day" when it really isn't.

Better round up all of the eleven-year-olds pretending to be cops on halloween.

That's different.

This prank was talking about really making someone think you were an FAA rep, unlike a little kid in a fake cop outfit.

I see no harm in it as long as they're friends and the jig's up after a little bit.
