flying on US Airways

Hey I am going to be flying on US airways next week. Are there any suggestions any one has? Like do they charge extra for food and the like?

Their pilots never sold credit cards over the PA. It was FAs that did. And yes, they still do. But just as a comparison point, so does DAL/NWA.

I've only flown a couple of times on them & didn't think it was much different than most of the other airlines. I think the European carriers have better customer service than most domestic ones.

I was 100% about that. It was sure because it was always an older guy, it was during the ride talk to the cabin, i.e. "cruising at whatever altitude, smooth, 74 in KC, Credit card spiel, you pick up information from the flight attendant when we deplane."

I have not flown on US airways in a year.

When I must fly US, here are some procedures I follow. Being in the middle of the country I never know what I am going to get.

First, ask "Are you guys an East crew?"

If "Yes", answer - "GOOD, I always feel better than if it is those West bastards. I am thrilled you guys got together and formed USAPA - can't believe those Westies were stealing your seniority!"

If the answer is "NO", answer - "Thank goodness! I hate those Easties. Hang tough against USAPA and soon they will be broke and you can go back to ALPA - BINDING is BINDING!"

I could personally care less...I am just angling for special treatment on the flight...a full can of Coke, perhaps some extra snacks, a smile from the cabin crew, etc.

Its an airline.... Nothing about AA, CAL, UAL or DAL makes me think they are any better.... They are all about the same thing.... I honestly dont see a difference nor have I after being on all. I will say I do like Airtran the most of any in which I've been on. Mostly because when I non-rev and am in uniform all their FA's make an effort to put you into first class and make it an enjoyable experience....

Well you are a Double-EYE Legend in your spare time flying charter. Why would you need to.

EDIT: Ooops I see what I did here, I strayed again. Dangit.

I see you have heard of me.

Something upset you?
Be specific.

Flying from Anchorage to Phoenix...gonna be a long flight.

So an A320 around 5.5 hours in the air.... :) Sounds like fun. Not a terrible plane to be in. I do believe its a West crew. But really its not going to be anything special but its not going to be anything less then another airline would offer you.
