Anyone know how much usable fuel is available on this bird? We have 4 tanks at 36gallons apiece allowing 144 total fuel on board. I can't find the answer anywhere. In the process of having a fuel totalizer put in so of course we'd like to know the usable so it can be programmed correctly.

Aztecs with the 144 gallon tanks have 140 useable. 1 gallon in each tank is unusable.

From the Owners Handbook for a 1966 Aztec C.

thanks, that is the second time I've seen 140gals. usable. For some reason it is not stated in the 1961 POH.

I got confirmation from Piper today, it took half a day to get the info. 140gallons is correct, technically 140.34 usable. This is coming from a Piper service center out at Redbird.
