Senior @ Purdue -help me out here!

Re: Difficulty of getting into Purdue for ATC

..the school is in the middle of nowhere. It truly is.
I guess you never visited UND....I did, lol. I bet it would be more of a college experience than DWC, UND, or even ERAU because it has people from other majors, and it's possible to have a social life. It's definitely on my list of colleges to visit.

I concur...you obviously do have the patience to wait a year...since you've already waited 3.

The is another PUBNAT in January. I suggest you apply.

Its a good point; however, waiting 3 years in college is a lot better than waiting 1 year on the streets :rotfl:

Re: Difficulty of getting into Purdue for ATC

Took me a year and 8 months to get a class date. Part of that is my fault (which is why I can't stress enough what Raydon said about applying more then once), that wait could have been cut down by about 5 months at most.

If you really think you'd like to be an air traffic controller then there is no harm in applying. Especially if you already have to take the AT-SAT anyways. There's no point in limiting your options because there's no guarantee you'll get a decent job any time soon after you graduate.

The only hiccup I see is getting selected where you want to go. You have a much better chance of getting selected for a place in a big state (more places to choose from). If I were you, I'd probably choose Massachusetts and Rhode Island as my locations.
