Good way to think of the airline industry...?

It's like a sinking ship. You have the group that already went under, the group that's about to, then the group of people standing on the high end looking down on others; they are safe now but are all part of the same sinking ship (industry).

30 years ago the ship started to sink, now it's halfway under water.

Am I completely off or is this close?
