Piedmont LGA base rumors

Rumors I heard today:

  • The LGA Delta terminal is swapping with the US Airways terminal and US Airways will move to the smaller Delta terminal
  • US Airways Express flights being cut down to 45 a day out of LGA
  • Piedmont's LGA base is closing in the Fall

Anyone hear of this? The terminal swapping rumor is coming from some Delta mainline people based in LGA.

FYI: Steve F. was in LGA this week for an unknown reason. Could this mean something?

Really? The DL terminal is a dump and the crew/break rooms there suck. I used to go over to the USAirways terminal to get food during long sits in LGA. I think that terminal is a lot nicer and has more room that the DL terminal.
 
I have never been over to the delta terminal but the Airways terminal seems to be fine. The crew room for the express crews is not the best but it is def not the worst!

Really? Wow. Everything is so new over there. Lots of food choices. I'm of course referring to the terminal, not the MAT.

As far as the crew room goes AWAC's crew room is besides the US Airways terminal, in the big hanger between the west and east ends. A good 15-20 minute walk from the US Airways terminal.
 
LGA Delta Terminal to me is not even close to as nice as Airways. The only food choices I know of are Burger King, Starbucks, Sbarro, Chilli's, Nathans, and some sports restaurant. Nothing is new, Airways appears a lot newer to me anyhow. Delta Terminal is always super crowded, have to sit on the floor a lot of times. I had a lot of long breaks in LGA.

I think the Airways terminal is less crappy than the Delta terminal as well. Whenever I have a long sit I head over to the Shuttle wing and watch a movie or something. I haven't found the "quiet place" to sit in the DL terminal.

As to the rumors....awesome....just....awesome.
 
The DL LGA terminal is a dump. Whenever we'd have "productivity sits" in LGA, we'd walk over to the Ewesssssaaair's terminal to eat.
 
Now there's a rumot that PDT is getting 13 Dash 8 300s. This rumot comes from the MDT maintenance department.

I bet what they're trying to do is consolidate two Dash 100 flights into one Dash 300 flight... and keep your labor costs lower by furloughing that extra set of flight crews.
 
Jace- same rumors at Colgan about LGA.

Wouldn't this be perfect? Lose the Airways flying and have to hire virtually no one when we get the next batch of Q's.
