Dynamic Aviation

DoWhat?

Does anyone here work for Dynamic Aviation? I have a few questions about them and could use a little help.

Why is it that guys that are current and qualified in the King Air don't get hired, and gets with the bare minimums do?

Here is what I have observed...they have interviewed a LOT of people lately (I can think of 4 or 5 from my school, and you can read about more over at APC) and I have heard of ONE person getting an offer from them. I think they are being very picky about people who genuinely want to work there. Lets face it, a lot of people applying there are probably not thrilled about 3 week domestic and 4 week international trips, working for Dynamic's pay, or spinning wrenches in their off time and will bail as soon as the industry picks back up.

Also realize that though they may physically be a fairly large company, my understanding is that they are still run somewhat like a small family company. As such, internal recs, word of mouth, and good old-fashioned luck play a rather larger role in their hiring decision than pure numbers and qualifications.

This comes from 3 years of on-and-off looking at Dynamic and knowing literally a dozen people who have gone to work for them.

Good question. I threw my resume in a while ago and got the you don't meet qualifications with over 500 PIC in both the 90/200 and international/foreign experience. I figured cause I was still out of the country then. I am very serious about this company though, looks like something I would do long term. When I finally make it back state side, I plan on doing a trip there to drop of a resume in person.
