While I did think sheffield was a good school to attend, I personally think the "job assistance" they give is a joke. There is no assistance. They post jobs that you could easily find on the internet yourself. I found my job all on my own. I wonder sometimes....

Keep in mind that the economy is in real bad shape right now. Nobody's going anywhere at the moment.

Doesnt matter. And the economy thing is getting old. These places promise job placement. I guess I am lucky as I did just get a job. But there is places advertising.

Wrong! I promise an education and job placement assistance, but not a job, even though I've personally found jobs for hundreds over the past 2+ decades. Also, before writing "the economy thing is getting old", I suggest you study your previous posts. We can also get into what I've done on my time for no fee to fix butchered résumés if you'd like in addition to posting them online as well, and much much more.

Hi Eric,

Hope you had a good holiday weekend.

You are correct, Sheffield promises training and assistance.

They did provide assistance to me and answered all my questions after I graduated though and that was a big big help.

Eric, was stating my opinion, which I am entitled to. My resume is not "butchered," and I would hope that before you made changes, you would let me know. My posts are resonable, and meant as constructive critique. I never said you had to find me a job. What I will say is that I did expect alittle more assistance besides looking on a job board. I did find a job on my own. No harm, no foul. I am glad I chose your school. I feel I am very prepared to do the job. Thanks

And I am glad you posted my resume. As far as what you have done for other people, I cannot respond to that. And again, I would hope that if anything was ever altered on my resume, you would let me know before you did it, and you personally said in an email that it looked fine. Thank you again. Dont take this all so personally, this is a forum and people will say things, good and not so good. I personally believe there are ways to make the experience better at your school, but that is up to you. Again, I had a great time the 6 weeks i was there. Thank you.

While your resume may not have been butchered, I two find myself helping our students with their resumes. Most don't know how to create an "aviation" style resume, some don't know how to make a resume at all. We too want to help our students as much as possible, we do everything possible to get students placed even months after they've graduated.

I appreciate that. My resume is good. I have only had 3 jobs in 22 years after college. I have zero experience in the aviation field, yet I got a job 5 weeks after I finished school. I know I will do well at mesa.

Mesa is a great place, maybe not a career airline but a great first job. We use their SOC director for our practical test and he's a really nice guy. We've not had anyone go to Mesa yet but would love to hear some of your experiences. Keep us posted.

BTW, if things don't work out at Mesa or you start wanting to move on after a while, give us a call or come visit. We're right down the road in Tucson and we've got lots of other opportunities, we'd be happy to get you in touch with some other places.

Plesse do. I'm still on the lookout. Private message me, and I will give you my contact info.
