Expressjet Branded Flying

I traveled on ExpressJet on many occasions with full fare tickets and was always happy with their service. I was very sorry to see them go.

Yeah, I really wished it worked. Before I went to the airlines, this was one company I looked up to. Now I have to look down on how it turned out.

They were really popular here in Spokane. Everyone of the passengers I've talked to said they wish it never went away.

I have to say, of all the companies that could've pulled this off, Expressjet was it. Definitely a classy company. Everything I read was positive. Maybe if they had a slightly larger airframe, the 170/190, and some more $$, they could've made it stick.

It was a horrible, horrible idea, but damn did it work out great for me. No way it was ever going to work. I knew that when the first flight I worked had a pax count of "goose egg". It was also marketed horribly but nothing could change the fact that flying a 50 seater around with $100/barrel fuel isn't going to be profitable when southwest is targeting you for destruction (they did and it didn't take much effort to make it happen).

Unfortunately in this stupid industry, nice airlines finish last. There's no room for quality because everyone is focused on cut throating the competitor in prices. When will the downward spiral end? Everyone that I knew had nothing but positive things to say about xjet, it was sad to see them go. I bet a lot of the pilots were too since they did some nice flying out West.

It will end when this whole industry collapes.

(What I have seen in the past year I will not be surprised if it happens)
