*Airtime or megabyte charges apply for sending and receiving data using Get It Now, depending on your plan.

I use it all the time. Flying boxes we generally don't have quick access to wx in the podunk towns. However we can't use it to go or no go. Its not an approved wx source. I will call ops and have them check the wx for me from the approved list. Great for planning etc...

Thanks..... contemplating the big decision (which cell phone next) and just looking around ot see what aviation apps are out there.

There are a ton of cool things out there for aviation. Seems like some of them are useful and others are just really stupid. I have an iphone, but i would assume the supply is big for things that iphone as well. The hard part is just saying no to some of the stuff that is cool as hell but useless in the end.

I played with an iPhone in WalMart yesterday -- cool piece of equipment but not an option, I'm commited to Verizon so I think it's going to be either the Blackberry Storm or Curve or the new LG EnV touch for me.

My wife used to have a real bad app addiction -- it's amazing how fast those monthly subscriptions add up!!!

I used it on my old phone, but since I now have a blackberry I don't need it cause i can access duats and adds straight from the Internet. If your getting a smartphone with a data plan its kind of a waste.

That's kind of the conclusion I've come to....

Which Blackberry do you have? That's the way I'm leaning.....

curve. I love it. My dad has the storm and from what he tells me its a pretty cool phone. I don't like touchscreens though.
