i just found a great deal!
flying will cost me 25 bucks an hour starting from yesturday .
i met this guy who owns a PA28-140/160HP, he is based out of brookhaven NY.
we flew yesturday from HVW to UUU and back 2.1 in total , and hopefully we will be flying every week end from now an on !
im so relieved man ! i used to pay 140 Hr wet for a 172sp.

The only catch is you have to carry some briefcases with you that someone will pick up at a predetermined, off airport destination. Just don't open the cases :p

oh no no , this guy owns his plane , so im paying just half of the fuel expenses , and landing fees if any
if anyone is interested and you are in the NY area , PM me i will try to hook you up .
think about it , i need 100 hrs for my commercial , and it will cost me only 2500 bucks instead of 14K ( at 140/hr wet rate) at my local school .

So reading this you are paying half the fuel. Is it safe to assume that he will be in the a/c? Or are you just renting the plane from him?

Are you guys doing the safety pilot routine?

The price seems great, but curious to how you are building the time.

thats a very good question :) . before we took flight , i checked all the airplane logs, inspections...ect , and i asked about the airplanes history as well , he had it for years now ( since 1989) and it is in a very airworthy condition .
when we flew yesturday , i was the safety pilot for the first leg ( rgt seat) and the PIC on the way back , this was the deal and hopefully this will remain the deal for the remaining of this year.
as far as i know, i fly when he flies , so there is no renting or anything , unless the guy gets really comfortable and knows you well enough then there may be a possibility for me to take the plane probably with someone else , but we will see

When I was flying around WA state, a guy I met said he knew of a guy who wanted to pay me to make a flight. Curious, I talked to the guy who said he'd pay me $25,000 to fly up to Canada, should take about 2 days.

Funny how the only thing he mentioned was to land at a specific aprt at a specific time of twilight and a specific aprt in the way eastern portion of WA on the return leg. I said I'd think about it because I thought saying No to the Russian mafia was a bad move.
