ATP CFI hiring list

Anyone know about how long the ATP CFI hire waiting list is now?

Also, what are the chances of getting to instruct at the location you would prefer? I did my training at the Phoenix location and would rather instruct there than anywhere else. I did leave in good standings.

Thanks

last i heard its 70. be willing to move too.

You can probably forget it moving much in the near future. They just had another reduction at GKY last week.

Its funny how only a year ago it seemed that instructing at ATP was sub-par CFI job and now theres over 70 waiting to be hired...

I think it even more funny that just a little over a year ago, people like me were thinking about which regional they would work for because there plenty to CHOOSE from. Sooner or later, it will change again.

If wanting to work at ATP right now I wouldn't be picky at all. Gas up the car and be prepared to drive.

70 at ATP does not seem like that many to be honest. Of all the students they use to have go through and instruct it seems like a small number. I would be willing to bet that a lot of universities out there have just about as many. Heck the FBO i just left before going back to PSA had well over 100 Applications for one CFI position. Needless to say none of them got it as it went to a student who trained at the FBO.....

:yeahthat: I admire you man. You went and did it and I tucked my tail and ran back to the cube.

Dood! I was wondering where you have been!

Not all peaches and cream here, but you'll bust outta that cube when you are ready, more importantly, the industry is ready.

Good to hear from ya man!
