Happy summer every one!!! I just took my last exam today. I graduate next week and the golf course just thawed off. It's gonna be awesome.

I just have to write that damn graduation speech...

Watch out world i have an Associates in Aviation Science. :nana2:

Didn't you go to Brophy or some crap like that? :)

LOL....I was too dumb for Brophy. In fact, I thought it was such a scholastic accomplishment that I got accepted by ERAU.....until I found out that you could have a 1.2 high school GPA, and as long as you had the $$$, you were golden!

you're not from some pedigreed PV high school? I remember you talking to someone at one of my parties at World Headquarters and him giving you crap about where you went to high school at.

You know, when things got a little adult-beverage "competitive"? :)

Was a product of the SDL school system......but I was one of the 5th and 6th period auto-shop / VoTech people :D

To prove how dumbo I am, look in the tech threads. While there are formulas, aerodynamics equations, principles, etc galore. All I'm able to contribute is "Grog move stick left, airplane go left, Grog pull on stick, airplane go that way" :D

Which is why you were perfect for the A-10. Now getting into the stinkbug (F-117) program, I can't even figure that one out!

A-10 was great, back in the day. New A-10C is nothing more than a slow F-16. Sensor pods, consent-to-release ordnance, etc. Capable jet, but no more "simple, low tech/low cost" option anymore. Old A-model was "Grog crank mils, Grog roll in, point and shoot. Grog see target disappear." 117 was second choice after an exchange tour for A-37s in Colombia fell through.

F-117 was my one-man A320 that ATC couldn't see, armed with two bombs.

You're not selling the -117 bro!

Do you wish, sometimes, that if you went to the viper that you wouldn't be bouncing around bases?

Don't get me wrong, the 117 was a cool bird. Fun as hell and the technology was neat. Bringing it out to IWA one day to beat up the pattern while DMAs runway was temporarily shut down was neat.

In the Viper, I'd just be bouncing around between Korea and the CONUS (or USAFE) if I wanted to stay in cockpit. That would've been neat in it's own way, but my combat in the A-10 was about as old-school style as it'll ever be anymore...including the C-model guys. Everything now is laser and GPS guided munitions.

IIRC, LUF didn't get the F-35 mission slated for training; KVPS did. Don't know what's going to happen to LUF. One of their F-16 units closes this year, with another slated next year.

Will Luke be a F-35 training base in the future?

Right now, Eglin is slated to be the first F-35 training base. There are some lawsuits that have been filed over the potential increase in noise. Because of that, other bases have requested the F-35. Luke was one of them, but we will have to wait and see.

Oh, and to the OP, congrats on gradumacating.
