This has probably been posted here before, but this is one very lucky guy. This is the remains of his Beech-18. Wow!

Whats the story on this one?

Did he just happen to crash I front of a photographer in a crime scene?
 
I'm about 99% sure that's the same picture I'm thinking of. If so, I was there. He was leaving FXE bringing cargo to the islands. He ended up putting that plane down on I-95 and Commercial Blvd just after takeoff. It took a long time to cut him out which allowed reporters to get shots such as that.
 
I remember that incident. Incredibly well done job on the part of the pilot. Avoided houses and cars and skillfully put the plane in a very small unoccupied area. Simply amazing story.

I always thought it was kind of funny how there was no one tending to him but someone thought to string up the caution tape around the whole scene.
