As Cross country - in a paper logbook
Thanks guys. Do you have a reg offhand to back this up? Rumor was a while ago one of the FSDO guys round here decided to audit some peoples logbooks and revoked/made some redo training for improperly logging time...
What do you mean by "in a paper logbook" Martin?
I keep both.
Thanks!

You realize you didn't need to tell us that. We knew....
:yup::yup::yup:
You mean we have logbooks now?!? And here I have been keeping track of all my time on scrap pieces of paper. Talk about hard to organize for an interview!![]()
The answers can be found in 61.1(b)(3).
My first answer still stands (it's all cross-country) if you are just logging cross country time. If you are logging it for Private, Commercial, ATP certificates or Instrument rating, then NONE of it is cross-country time. If you are logging it towards a Sport Pilot (powered parachute or not), Rotorcraft, and a few other ratings, the ALL of it is cross-country time.
Read 61.1 then come back with any additional questions you might have.

Well, I suppose I should take back my answer until you tell me whether the logging is just X-C logging in general, or for the purposes of meeting the aeronautical experience requirements of a certificate or rating, and if so, which certificate or rating.
