Starting a flight club

Thank goodness you only fly the 737............

Not just your flight instructors darling................. not just your flight instructors............

Doug, I beg of you...please, please please..... I beg you....stop this woman from having her way with my mind and screwing with my captain-hood. It is me she challenges today, but who knows who her victim(s) might be tomorrow. Can't you please lock her in the lavatory or some meaningless GoJets thread? You and Kristie are in Arizona right? Can't you pay her a visit and put a horse head in her bed or something?

Hell, with my luck she would find a way to bring it back to life and then expect me to come to Arizona to muck out it's stall. I really need about 1000mg of good migraine medicine....or a bottle of Herradura.

Again..."Yes, Dear."

See, guys, it works!

I might try that. Trust me, my "When you are done with the dishes, can you bring me a beer" approach never got me very far. At times, it might take 15 or 20 minutes before she actually brought it. Hell, I might as well had my daughter bring it; except, she was usually busy doing my laundry or cleaning out the garage.

Ha, that's good.

I figured out the solution to this.

My brother-in-law learned, like you, that the beer request would often be met with raised eyebrows and a disdainful look that could stop an iceberg. This may be because my sister runs the household (and their three boys) with an iron fist.

So he taught his three year old to fetch Daddy and Uncle Billy a beer.

Which is cool, too, but it came with an admonition. "Billy...watch your beer - he'll try and drink it if you're not paying attention..."

It's early but I thought this thread read "I want to start a fight club."

When that movie first came out my buddies and i all wanted to start one. We thought we would toughen our selves up. Thankfully i did not go first. There where about two punches thrown and one guy was on the ground with a bloody nose crying. I guess 14 year olds need to learn the hard way some time.

I've heard that flight clubs can be a cheap way to build hours. I don't think i'd mind being a member but i would not want to be in-charge of all the maintenance, hangar fees, insurance, ect.

just curious though, do flight club planes need 100 hours? I would think since it's not a commercial operation (or at least the one here in bozeman is not) then you would not need them.

The one I am in does not. As you said it is not a commercial operation. We are all owners in a corporation that owns the planes. You have to be a share holder to have usage of the aircraft. Flight instruction in not provided by the club. The member hires their instructor as needed.

Thanks,

Yah i think thats how the Flying Tigers work here. They have an improved instructor's list that are aloud to teach in their planes but the CFI's have no affiliation with the club.
