I'm looking for info on Atlanta.
I'm heading there for an accelerated CFI course and I'm putting together a budget.

Any info on places to stay, car rentals etc... Any area's to avoid?

Thanks

How long is "accelerated"? Are you looking for an extended stay hotel, regular hotel or, an apartment? Methinks anything near PDK will be just fine. I have a couple of buddies that own houses near there and they like it alright. I live south because I think the northside blows but, that's just me. :D

Truth.

Two weeks-ish.

I plan on staying in SoCal, but reality and plans never seem to talk with each other.
I'm leaning towards AF at PDK. My ducks are lining up for their course.

I used to live right across the street from PDK on Tobey Rd. It was a bit of a low-rent district, but they're upgrading it last I saw. I know the house I used to rent, along with many others, was torn down for new, trendier houses to go in their place.

I want to say there's an extended stay not too far from there on Peachtree Industrial Ave, just a bit south of the airport closer to Buckhead... which is a nice area.

Oh sure, southside's fine if you like the sticks... northside ATL is where it's at! :D

I did some of my training at PDK and I remember seeing a couple apartment building about 5 minutes away from the airport that were just being built. They seemed pretty nice, but I guess the downside would be that you would be living in Chamblee.
