She said that they are having to keep daily lists of people who didn't get one or both of the e-mails and that by Friday they should have the missing E-Mail sent. She said if I don't have it then, that I should call back. Sounds a little scary considering they are due completed my Monday the 6th.

Got mine on the 27th as well! My deadline is August....they better hurry up! Turnin 31 and I am assuming that if by then the PEPC hasn't happened I am out of luck! Gotta say it was definitely nice to open gmail and see that email sittin there after all this time!
Wags, I 'm in the same boat as you - I have until oct. is anyone considering texas? I was going to put is down as my second choice but the form asks for counties i'd be willing to work. i prefer s. texas and was wondering if I need to list 40/50 counties or just put the area within zhu - any thoughts?

My wife and I thought about Texas. Everyone we know is moving out there...its really odd to be honest! Everyday i hear of more people moving to texas. Did Bush put cocaine in the water supply or something? WTF? LOL. We ended up choosing Florida cause that is where we are at now and Georgia because we have family there, and houses are cheap! For Florida I listed multiple counties but for Georgia I just wrote "Atlanta / Tri-county area". Some have said that your county list doesn't even matter.

TX seems like a real popular place to put down. CA too. And the whole south. Judging by all this I think I need to put like some real unpopular places places like Wisconsin or Minnesota or something.

I don't think that would be a good choice! Think about it this way.......yes many people are applying for popular major cities/destinations but there are many many many jobs available in these places because they are popular major cities and destinations. If you select some obscure location, chances are that they have very few open positions and statistically speaking your chances of getting a position there wouldn't be so good as opposed to the other places.

Hah hah. I know, I was just kinda kidding around. I'm not gonna put some place I don't wanna go to live, though I would take a job there if it was offered. I know that sounds weird, I just don't wanna limit myself to someplace like that, but if that's where the job is then so be it. Hopefully my states have openings. I know my local facility needs people and that I'm at least "on their radar" so hopefully that works out.

I just don't understand why they would put us through so much and spend so many man-hours testing,emailing, etc.... only to cut us if the two states we pick are not hiring or don't pick us. You would think that after so much effort has been put forth already and if we are well qualified that they would automatically put us in the running for another state/location. That would be the smart/economical way to do things and I guess being a part of the government the FAA could never do things economically!

ZHU...it really shouldn't say counties. But they assume we can't look up the ID for the facility we want.

I found out why i didn't get a GeoPrefs, apparently my application didn't show all the information it needed, i had the information, but apparently because the application has limited space, and i was not wanting to omit things i was passed over. Does anyone know a way to fix this without waiting for PUBNAT 8 *which will be out first week in july according to FAA in OKC*? I'm 'well qualified' apparently but if i wait til then, its another year from now until I'm even considered for a PEPC

something like that happened to me for Pubnat 5. i got my geopref for pubnat 6 but when i called for pubnat5 the lady said i didnt submit my workhistory for 5. somehow they allowed me to take the ATSAT for 5 even though it somehow wasnt there but i remember filling all that out for pubnat 5 because i was trying to fill in alot of blank space in time so that i could fit the qualifications of work history and school. so i went to asap after and for some reason when i went back and looked it showed it wasnt there. makes me really angry cuz i know i did it and im not sure if its because theres an error on asap or what but it makes me mad that i am missing 2 geo pref slots because of it.
I just looked and it didn't include my work history either. That sucks. I know it was on there as the info for Pubnat 6 was already there when I filled it out. Oh well.

According to the two people I spoke to in OKC, apparently for 5 and 6 they just threw people in for the test on the assumption that they did indeed have the work experience, basically it was a c*ck tease
i spoke with them more today...they said the same thing which was a bunch of b.s. to cover there system error. I took it a step further and called I.T for the asap system. He told me that I needed to request that the folks in OK city need to send a request to them because it appears there was something the programmers need to look at.
By the way, I spoke with a manager and there will be a new pubnat the 1st week of july.
