141 paper work

I currently flight instruct at an FBO along with my other job. The owner asked me that he wants me to set up paper work like a 141 school even though were still part 61. Would anyone have paper work they could PM me or ideas what all to include? He also asked for stage check checklists, and progress sheets. I was about to start making some but thought it be easier if one of you all would have one you wouldn't mind sending to me.

Currently using a Jeppesen Syllabus but thinking about going to the Cleared for Takeoff Syllabus from the Cessna Pilot Center.

I wrote an entire 141 program (Pvt, Instrument, Commercial, CFII, ATP, plus the add-ons). I'm heading out to an interview, but when I get back I'll check in with you and see what I can help with.

The easiest way, believe it or not, is just to go forward with the 141 application procedure. If you're trying to do 141 paperwork part 61, in my experience, the rest of the instructors aren't going to follow it for very long.

YMMV.

Catch ya later.

I would greatly appreciate anything you can give me :) Our school eventually wants to go 141 which is why we want to get the paper work in order. After our last firing spree Im the only instructor left, so we want to get everything standardized so we can be organized once we start hiring.

Thanks, Good Luck with your Interview

My school is 141, if you need anything specifically from us you can PM me and I will see what I can do.

We use ASA, which is nice because you don't have all the boxes to fill out like Jepp does. (But I did like Jepp)

I was not a fan of Cessna Syllabus, make sure you really look it over before you switch!

I've done the Cessna 141 syllabus for instrument and the Jepp for commercial.

They both have their pros and cons. Seemed like the Cessna was a little more user friendly but the students have to put up with the boring videos.

You have to hand jam a lot of the paperwork with Jepp. Just make sure you glance at the time allocation tables at the beginning of the Jepp syllabus book so you have a good understanding of how long each lesson should take.

We're a 61 school that does "141 paperwork"...

edit: works out just fine, we use the jepp syllabus

Good luck with your interview.

Most of the stuff at my school was "stolen" from Kent State University. A lot of schools just copy off each other for their 141 stuff.
