Sorry, didn't mean anything by it. Other than that I would hate having to go to class dressed like that. I think even in airline groundschool they don't dress up (ask a guy on here named amorris about that).
As far as the "getting ready to be a professional" argument, I'll (hopefully) have an entire career to get used to wearing whatever uniform my employer says to wear. For now, I dress casually, especially since I'm pushing airplanes, fueling airplanes, demonstrating preflight inspections, sumping the DA-42 (a very *ahem* aromatic experience), and flying GA aircraft in the TX summer heat.
It's really not that bad wearing a uniform, you just get used to it. But I agree, it is nice not to have to dress up all the time to go flying, I did it once over winter break when I rented a plane from the FBO back home...just a good ol' t shirt and jeans!
