I was a pax when I had the pleasure of the Gulfstream, but did consider getting into the FA gig someday for my old company. That was when our execs were down-to-earth, appreciative human beings.

1- I would have a G 550 if I could ever justify it, which I dont think I would. I'd probably settle for a C X.
2- I think we make these people like Pelosi out to be more important than they really are. Yes I think Commander in Chief needs protection but the PM of the UK travels BA for crying out loud. Republican or Dem...they can be replaced.

Funny story...I used to fly with a guy who went on Judge Judy. He was proud of going on there and there was a viewing "party" at the squadron for the big event. Now keep in mind, he already knew the outcome of this BEFORE he told everyone since it had been taped a couple of months earlier. Now the funny part....not only did he LOSE...but Judy absolutely handed his ass to him on a silver platter! Talk about being OWNED!!! As we watched in silence, he just sat there grinning it up. I bet to this day, he still hasn't lived it down!

I think it is an absolute joke that Pelosi wants a 757 to go back and forth to California citing security concerns. I think that the US military should be able to find a secure location to refuel if needed.
The problem with the government today is they (dems and reps) all have their personal agendas and unfortunately most of them don't do a whole lot for country but do put more cash in their pockets. We are in the middle of recession and the overpaid idiots in Washington give themselves a pay raise. Some things never change, just business as usual in D.C.

The VH-3s NEED to be replaced ASAP. Those are some VERY tired airframes. The VH-60s OTOH, should be good for another 10 years.
The fact that they chose the Agusta design over the S-92 still boggles my mind.

Saw the History channel.....or Learning channel, don't remember which...on Marine One and HMX-1. For their age, those VH-3s look darn near brand new throughout, compared to many of the SH-3s I've seen. I know that's beacuse they're VIP birds, but even the engine compartment appeared spotless.
