A new found respect for the FAA...

Goonie

Never say die
After going to England for 10 days to get my JAA flight instructor license I realized how relaxed and cheap our system is.

The CAA tries their best to take the fun out of flying GA. I spent 20 minutes on the phone every time to organize touch n goes and paid 20 pounds an hour for them.

boo

Ha Ha I stopped by the SLC FSDO and picked up the phone some old fart picks up what do you need. I say I have a question his reply..... "Is it an easy one?"

I have a new found respect for the FAALALA also

Why are you giving credit to the FAA? They want the same situation for the US. Thank AOPA.

It is still not nearly on the same level as it currently is in the UK.

The point of the original post is that you don't know how good we have it in the US until you've had to deal with it in other places.

Amen... weve got the best aviation system in the world. Thats why I "waste" $39 a year with AOPA. I seem to remember a thread on here a while back where people were arguing how AOPA doesnt do anything for GA

not to hijack the thread, but the $39 a year to AOPA is about the best $39 you can spend in aviation! IMHO

I would have to agree with TGrayson.
