i called avc this morning and explained that i recived an email from hr but no pepc invite. he looked me up and let me know that i was selected for hcf.

Im just curious... your posting 2 from sct but i cannot find the other one on here or on stuck mic... can you show me if it's not too much trouble thanks

Congrats.

If you can get the NY PEPC, they get your paperwork turned around fast enough, and there is still some room in the class, May 8 may be a possibility.

I'm still holding out hope that not all of the center e-mails have been sent out and there is one with my name on it for ZTL. It would greatly reduce the stress level in my home since we already live in the Atlanta area.

I am going to have all my paperwork in order to help as much as possible. I carried TS clearance in the military so I am hoping that will help.

Congratulations! You have been chosen for further consideration for an Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) position at the Memphis Air Route Traffic Control Center in Memphis, Tennessee

Congrats and welcome to the ZME Group. Look forward to working with you.

Well, my husband and I got verbal confirmation that we didn't make it. ....sniffle... I guess where we picked was filled up.

Only if the OPM did your clearance investigation, which I don't believe they do DOD TS clearances (they didn't do mine). So probably not.

I just called Aviation Careers and was told that they still have around 30% of their emails to send out. They wouldn't tell me over the phone whether or not I was selected, but that if I hadn't heard by next Wednesday, it was probably safe to assume I wasn't selected. I talked to Chris, BTW.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that ZLC just hasn't sent emails out yet! I called yesterday and spoke with Pam (I knew right away I wasn't going to get an info from) and then to Deena. Deena "didn;t have access" to whether or not I had been selected but she was able to answer a bunch of questions for me. Here are some of the big ones:

Regarding Geo Pref, how do they look at your choices?
---When the referal lists are made, you are put in each of the lists. For instance, I selected en route only UT and CO so I was put on the ZLC and ZDV lists BOTH. She said no where did it state which one you selected first or second, just that you wouldnt get picked for both.

Regarding test scores, do they look at your actual grade or just if you scored WQ?
---The only see if you scored WQ or just Q, nothing else.

---She also said that you could be placed somewhere other than your 2 picks because the announcement was "Throughout the Nation" and that means we are willing to go anywhere, they just try and let us have a say in where. The only way that would happen though is if they saw something in you that they wanted at a specific location. (I'm assuming that means if they are in desperate need at a place and no one applied for there they might try and pull you over there.)

I'm going to try and call back today to get someone to tell me whether or not I've been selected.

Well I suppose a 30% chance is still better than a kick in the crotch.

I do not want to bring your hopes down any but the word here on JC is that UTAH is on a hiring freeze...

I will be rooting for you.........

I don't really wanna go there...but it's pretty much my only hope at this point
