It's kinda the perfect tool for picking states. I mean...when people ask "which states are hiring?", this is the answer.
 
Only 1 Problem, Last time around there was a huge push for CA, this time it wasnt so hot, so I would say its a great piece of information. However deducing the appropriate state for a geopref is like a shot in the dark.

thanks for this informations gives me some hope with 3 of my 4 choices. now im starting to rethink my 4th choice though. oh well. and its good to see MCO is hiring people. ill have to tell brent that he needs to put a good word in for me to get a slot at MCO for the next selection boards.

And how in the hell does STL OR SUS need new people lol.
 
I certainly don't think it's out of line to CALL any of these facilities and just say "Hey, I saw you got __ people from the last PUBNAT. Will you be hiring anymore?'

I'm still hoping to join you at DCA, and am only holding out hope since nobody has received it yet. Perhaps I should fold my hand at this point. :banghead:

I would love to get DCA, if I can't stay in Michigan. I have family out there, and a relative at the tower.
Do you like it there, so far?
 
Wow!!! Only 3 people selected for Illinois and of those 3 only one is chicagoland area, I have been hearing that chicagoland area is short controllers but it doesn't appear that way from the panels. I'm assuming that alot of Illinois people got picked up in PUBNAT 1 and 2 like I did.

Anyone else surprised by the Illinois number?
 
just so everyone is aware...there are soooo many people who get selected that you will not know about. here in OKC i have 30 people in my Basics Class, and only 4 of us are part of any ATC forum. consider yourselves very lucky though. the instructors told us that there are over 8000 people with applications waiting to get chosen.
