That's what I thought as well... lots of over flights, and you don't really see the crash like a tower controller would. Then again I could be wrong.
Yeah I always thought enroute would be way less stress then working at a busy TRACON?
SCT, C90, N90, or A80 would probably be worse(not by much), otherwise a busy ARTCC is just as bad. For example: If you think most ZID traffic is overflight being untouched, you would be sorely mistaken. Very little of our traffic is pure overflight. Most of our traffic climbs or descends through our airspace and cross eachother at the same altitude. Now add weather, turbulence, and pushes from nearly every major airport in the Midwest/Eastern United States and you'll see it can be just as stressful as any terminal facility.
There is a reason En Route has the longest training program, and it is not because it is easy........
