What I learned at NJC.....

Goonie

Never say die
Although I didn't get to attend but one night at 9FI, I learned a few things....

Bigey is tall and really chill in person. (I thought you were a short chip on your shoulder kid)

Popaviator apparently looks 21. ;)

Mpenguin looks nothing like I thought he would. (I thought you were a tall skinny pale white guy with glasses)

Seggy is a bad gambler.

Max gets gayer with every drop of alcohol.

Doug has a potty mouth.

Kristie is sneaky.

Jtrain still hits on me when he's drunk.

Makers on the rocks cost $15 at 9FI.

The "Girls direct to you" guys wont sell their t-shirts for $10 no matter how drunk you are.

Thanks Doug and Kristie for the fun evening. It was nice to get to meet you after all these years. I hope to stay for the whole thing next year.

p.s Thanks for the inner circle ring too!

Things I learned.

- Jtrain and Emily make an awesome couple.
- Flychicaga and Jtrain would make terrible NHL players. ;)
- Bigey is a really cool guy.
- Juxta drinks too fast
- No one can land a damned thing on MSFS
- Polar does not look his age.
- Doug and Kristie throw a great party
- Mikecweb has the best job
- Toria is very blunt and super hot. ;)
- Calcapt doesnt have a mustache.
- TonyW is one funny dude
- Seggy does have game.

Im sure Ill think of more.

WAIT.. how am i sneaky?? i'm kinda lost there.....

Things I learned:

SeanD is in a NEW band and has invited all of JC to his next gig
Ryan promises to be there next year
Velo ain't quite so "dragony" in person and is actually a very cool character
Nothing wrong with "flaunting it", right ladies? :)
Dale counts calories and is now fitter than EVAR!
Charlie will seriously, RUN, after the girlz
Juxtapilot enjoys mustard with his cell phone
I think Mikecweb likes apple schnapps!!
Edawg has a very pretty girlfriend (too bad for all the rest that weren't there sat night, you missed meeting her).
Planet hollywood drinks are a bit too expensive for my taste
Bigey really did get BIG (aka: TALLer)....
Calcapt is one REALLY great guy!
N826AW (Matts) accent REALLY comes out when he's drinking
John & Em don't like being "interrupted" (hehe)
jdflight still has the nicest eyebrows
ALWAYS do separate checks

and i'm sure i'll think of others....

Toria is very blunt and super hot. ;)

There is no room for subtlety in a room full of pilots (whether that is the FBO or NJC!) :D Thank you for the compliment. I am flattered.

I learned many things and have new perspective on some old problems. It was a great meeting among professionals and facilitated a great exchange of ideas and solutions. Organizing a meeting like this is no trivial task, Kristie and Doug did a fantastic job! It was also very nice to meet so many people and be reminded that we are all actual people, not just cyber personalities. Cheers until next year. Toria

I will also note that a certain young lady can run very fast in flip flops and a strapless bra. When two drunk people decide to race, however, the end result is always funny.

In honor of Kristie's comment, I will now change my avatar for the first time ever on JC, which makes it over a year and a half in coming. :)

-I'm a bad gambler despite Doug's best efforts to teach me craps
-Capt. Al Haynes is a great yet very humble man
-When you look up "airline pilot" in the dictionary it basically describes CalCapt
-Colgan has some really great guys working hard to take it to the next level...let me know when the next EWR organizing event is guys!!!
-Dr. Forred is a valuable resource for all of us...perhaps the most valuable
-Kristie deserves more credit for all the work she puts into NJC!!
-I don't recover as easily as I once did!
-If you have not attended NJC you need to because you'll have fun and most importantly it'll change the way you think about your role in aviation.

Sounds like you guys had a blast. Sorry I had to miss it this year! I've felt a bit out of the loop since leaving aviation and I'm sure next year I won't be moving and changing jobs right before NJC. Hoping to see ya'll next year.

Doug want you styling some hockey hair if you do!;):D

- Wildfreightess should be oiled regularly. She squeaks! :insane:
(All in good fun, D...you know I love ya!) :nana2:

- gna_lgb is a wild one and wasn't able to spend nearly enough time with us in LAS. :( (something about job responsibilities! :banghead:)

- Cruise is even nicer in person than on the internet. :rawk: It took me a year to finally meet him after being his internet friend and fellow Colgan-ite.

....that NJC gets better every year!

....that 9FI is always a blast (despite having a few too many Guinness this time around...if there is such a thing). Wow, thanks Jonathan. ;)

....that the Hofbräuhaus, Las Vegas is nearly as cool as the real one in Munich and will be on my annual 'go to during NJC' list.

....that is was great meeting all the new friends and seeing the old ones again.

....that I always leave NJC looking forward to the next NJC.

....that the JC community is an exceptional bunch of people.

....that it was great to finally meet Qgar and CalCapt after having talked to them online for such a long time.

....the list goes on and on.............

1. Bigey has really hairy legs. :rawk:

2. The power of the Wang. :nana2:

3. Juxtapilot chases his tail when he's had a few too many! :panic:

4. Seggy has a really good memory. :)

5. I really need to participate in more of the NJC events :banghead:

6. NJC is really like a family reunion. :)

7. Doug and Kristie are really cool peeps. :bandit:

Thanks everyone for a great time!

See you next year!

Al

Things I learned at this year's NJC:
1. Everyone staying in one place is awesome

2. Ladder 360 is an incredibly interesting guy to talk to - and doesn't look anything like I thought a firefighter should!

3. How to play the come line in craps

4. Charlie is a good craps player, and likes to call the game. It's like a non-stop audition for dealer ;)

5. There is not a mechanical bull within walking distance of the strip

6. Dana (Mrs. Doc) is a great resource for the ladies

7. Southern Utah is really empty

and the most important thing i learned:
How to create the perfect drunk and maintain it from 7pm-3am.

Dough and Kristie are awesome :) love you guys

2. Ladder 360 is an incredibly interesting guy to talk to - and doesn't look anything like I thought a firefighter should!

Awe! Thanks for the shoutout Emily! I was beginning to think that nobody remembered me even being there since I was only around for the drinking portion... wait, I'm not sure there was a non-drinking portion. :D

Things I learned -

1. As it's been said, regardless of whether you agree or disagree online, the people on here are a great group - even more so in person.

2. If a random girl comes up to you at the bar inside the casino and is overly friendly, she probably has a negotiable virtue.

3. If you start drinking at noon, don't forget that the bars don't close indicating it's time to call it a night. Er, a morning.

4. My memory fades past about 2am. Okay, I already knew that but hadn't practiced it in a while.

5. Once you make friends in person with people you know online, you're no longer "anonymous".

6. It's impossible to remember everyone's name, face and screen name after 6 beers and two Crown & Gingers - much less beyond that! The pictures posted have helped clear out that "low-drunk front" though.

7. If you aren't married, it's probably not a good idea to bring your girlfriend along. That's kind of like the video of the seal surrounded by the orcas who were working as a team to bump him off the iceberg. I obviously didn't test this - just a note to self.

8. We're lucky to have the opportunity to get together. I'll do my best to make it every year.

Thanks Doug and Kristie!

Also, thanks Pengy for the killer door prize! :nana2:

Re: 4. The other day the skipper set in 11,000 on the altitude alerter in the jet. He points at it and says, "Eleven". Without hesitation I responded with "Yo! Yo eleven!".

I got a funny look.

Re: 5. 30 min drive south at South Point. Next year- field trip! :D

Lets see...this year I learned..
- Max can't text and drive at the same time!:D
- Don't ask the waitress where you can find cocaine @ 1:30AM
- Don't mess with your waitress about Denny's
- The "Rainman" suite was the place to be!
- Velo does not breathe fire and is really a laid back guy.
- The Shara has a stink, but not as bad as the Greek Isles!
- Doug is worth $1,000 and a JC luggage tag.
- You don't have to go farther than the lobby to be propositioned by an escort! JEP was a witness!
- Climbing the rafters at 9FI is baaaaadddd!
- NJC memebers are the biggest cockblockers. At least that's what Seggy says!
- Thanks to Doug and Kristie (you too Pengy!) for another great NJC!:nana2:
