What Airport is Best to Fly Into

One of my students is cool enough to just so happen to want to take a trip to Vegas in his Skymaster on October 27th through the 29th. I will most likely be making it NJC this year if my funds run decent in the upcoming weeks.

What airport is good to fly into. I wouldn't mine flying into LAS, but those fuel prices are ridiculous there. Is HND or VGT closer to the Strip?

it looks like VGT is the winner at 6.7 NM and HND is a close second at 7.9 NM...

FYI...the reference point I used is the MGM Grand, no reason, it just happens to be on Las Vegas Blvd

VGT has a free shuttle to the strip. You just have to find a cab to get back and if I remember right it was about a $40 cab ride. I have also flown in to HND but we had a ride so I'm not sure about that one. It's a pretty cool airport though with really nice people. Hope to see you all there. I'm really trying to get out there for NJC.
