K State - Salina, KS - CFI life?

Hello -

Anyone have experience being a CFI at K State in Salina KS? What is it like? How many hours can one expect to fly in a month?

Can't comment on the CFI life, but I diverted my whole flight there once, between BLV and APA when we realized that with the heavier (unforecast) winds, our lower altitude, and all the crap hanging off the wings/pylons, we weren't gonna make it to APA with anywhere close to SOP min fuel. I think we were abeam Salina at the time, maybe 30 miles north. That was a cool FBO, everyone was so nice, and they had delicious snacks and fancy fruity waters. Also was cool because one of our young back seaters was from around there.....her whole family, and I mean like 30 people, came out to say hi while we waited for gas. She was also in the Super Bowl flyover this year, which I imagine was pretty cool for them. /threadjack, I just thought I'd give Salina a plug
