A Roland Z-602 ultralight (D-MTNN) and a Schleicher K 8b glider (D-3593) collided while landing at Winningen airfield.
At least three persons were injured.
Photo evidence does suggest, that the two aircraft got stuck after the collision and the microlight aircraft did deploy its rescue parachute successfully, bringing down both a/c.

What's with the terrible english on the article?

It's "Three people", not "Three persons". And the next part illustrates one of the most confusing emergent trends in punctuation:
"Photo evidence does suggest, that the two aircraft got stuck"

What the heck is up with that comma?? Can anyone explain its presence? I don't understand why anyone would even think to put a comma there, and I'd like to understand it
