PM me. The short version is that I would not recommend working there. Largely it depends on what your career goals are. I was a pilot there for 3 years. Trackers came and went faster than the pilots. I see (via LinkedIN) that a lot of the guys that were trackers when I was there are now working for better 121 airlines. I don't have a clue how things work career wise as a dispatcher but guys got experience and moved on.
Also keep in mind that poop always goes downhill and you will be handling ALL the poop as a tracker. There are a lot of nice people there. You will also handle phone calls from some of the worst human beings to ever walk the face of the earth and that is being generous. I've been a spectator for a lot of captain to base calls and personally I couldn't believe some of the things said. If you have a penchant for abuse it could be the place for you!
There's enough regional movement now where you shouldn't have to bother with something like this, unless you just really wanted it or didn't want to move
I agree - while I love that part of the country the office is in, it would be far better for your resume to get some 121 experience (domestic or supplemental.) This is assuming your ultimate goal is to make it to a major (or to Virgin America, if you want to move back to California.)
