XJT Rejects SKW's Takeover Bid

If your misconceptions are common at Skywest . . .
I have no proof that they are misconceptions yet. I have asked these questions to people who should know, and who shall remain nameless for now on this forum. I trust them today, and they told me that our policy manual is legal. So until you provide evidence that my perceptions are in fact "misconceptions" please do not refer to them as such. (which will be hard to do, since a judge will make a ruling later this year on this issue )
As I said twice now previously, I will get a definitive answer.

Just out of curiosity how much is health insurance for single guys over there?
Don't have a pay stub in front of me, but I'm paying somewhere around $100 a month for medical/dental/vision. Depending on where we live, there are lots of differnt programs to choose from.

Instead of whatever it would have been great had you seen my post in context and backed off of your comment about us being arrogant I also agree that it is important for pilots to stick together and have organized representation . . .It would have been great had you left it there . . but . . .
OK then don't get upset when we say we say how good we have it now, right? (although we weren't bragging anyway)

By the way, I never said I didn't think we need a union . . .65% of our pilot group did. My current understanding is that our policy manual, signed by our representative group (SAPA) and management is a legally binding contract. PCL says not . . I am going to research further, and come back with a stronger understanding and position.

I tried to back off but in my opinion just the fact that you guys don't think you need a union is arrogant.

I already know the definitive answer, and they are indeed misconceptions. I'll continue to refer to them as such.

From talking to other single pilots comparing medical coverage that is on the high side.

Like PCL said, they are paying $30.00 a month.

What kind of stock options and profit sharing do they have? Just out of curiosity?

I'm sorry, but I didn't realize we were talking about stock options and profit sharing. My bad.

But since you brought it up, Pinnacle offered us a profit sharing and options package in lieu of real contractual gains, and we told them where they could shove their stock options.

Like it was said stock options and profit sharing should not take the place of proper wages.

Ask the Skybus guys how their stock is doing.

Stock options in the regional airline industry are worth about as much as used toilet paper to me.

Show me the MONEY!!!:)

I do not have feelings of superiority, I do not try to exert my will on others as you do in these posts, so it is you that is making claims or pretensions to superior importance or rights you overbearingly assume that we need a union, so it is you who is displaying arrogance. I even said I am going to research the legality of our contract before I continue making strong arguments, I felt that showed humility and a willingness to listen to the other side. All I keep hearing is that I am living in a fantasy world, and that I am arrogant and to date I have not seen anything other than empty rhetoric rather than proof. In fact it is you who have demonstated the exact definition of arrogance, in the the very post in which you called me arrogant.
You said you tried to back off, but in fact you said "whatever" instead of reading my earlier post (from which you claimed I was braggin) in context. I guess you were to proud to admit you took my comments out of context.
I'm not looking for a fight, but honestly I am tired of people pointing fingers and making ignorant commentary about my attitude, and I would love it if you took the personal attacks out and dealt with the issues.

I want to add once again, good luck to all those involved. I have good friends over at Skywest and ExpressJet, hopefully it will work out for everyone in the long run.

Let it go, I don't want to argue about this anymore. Research your contract and get back to us with how legally binding it is. Just out of curiousity. How did you vote?

SAPA is not a union and has none of the legal applicabilities a union has as an organized body granted by federal laws.

Really? Hmmm...well seeing as our stock is trading higher than both United's and Delta's, I'm not sure I believe that. So we're supposed to wipe our butts with our perfomance reward checks? That's some pretty expensive toilet paper considering our "mediocre" pay scale. But what do I know? I'm ignorant. I just cash my check and have a nice cool glass of Kool-Aid.
