Save yourself some dough: www.popsleather.com
Good quality, better prices. Well-known in USAF circles, pretty much everybody who passes through Incirlik AB in Turkey has Pop's modify their issue A-2s, adding silk linings, underarm gussets, gun holsters, etc.
Their calfskin is quite nice, a buddy of mine at SkyWest had them make him one (did I mention they're custom-made to your measurements?) instead of shelling out big $$$ for the "company approved" leather jacket.
But I forget that in this industry people don't want to be professionals.
You know, sometimes it gets cold outside.
Does dressing like some kind of naval officer make me fly any better? No.

And a blazer ought to be enough. Coupled with an overcoat you're good to -40.
