Good job bro...all the studying paid off. I've got the instrument written coming up, it doesn't seem to hard. After all, I've taken about 30 practice tests.

Congrats and good luck with the checkride!

Have you finished your cross-countries yet? Where did you go and how were they, anything learned across your travels?

Let us know how the checkride goes!

I've gotten all pf the XCs over with. I just have the night flying and a prctice checkride with my instructor. I flew around Kentucky on my XCs. I flew into Big Sandy in Prestonsburg for some mountain time, and to Frankfort, Daville, and Mt. Sterling for the other XCs.
I don't fly much in Ohio, but I live in Brown County (KGEO) and I'm within 45 min. of Cincinnati (CVG, KLUK).

Congrats!!

It's a very satisfying feeling, eh!

I too just passed my written for the PPL, in fact it was just this past Wednesday that I sat the exam. I live in Canada and I belive our system is slightly different to the ones that you guys use south of the border. Tell me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the US system for the PPL written use a pool of 800 questions and from that 100 questions are put on the test? Up here, we don't use a pool of questions. Instead, we the questions are taken from texts such as "From the Ground Up" and could be on anything and everything related to the PPL, plus the Transport Canada (the people in charge of Canadian aviation licensing) go out of their way to come up with ridiculous questions. Anyway, needless to say it is a bugger to study for. However it is great to be this side of it and I know how you feel. I passed my checkride a few weeks ago and am now have earned my PPL. Next stop for me: Commercial!!!

Good luck with your checkride and so forth.
