Winterset IA jumping operation

I don't have any info for them but would like to see how you do. Being I am moving to Iowa in a year! I am gonna need all the help I can get

Never jumped in Winterset, but have several friends who have / do. It's a nice facility with well respected skydivers who jump there.

I've been to the Couchfreaks / Dollar Daze boogie, organized by the same people who run the operation in Winterset. It's one of the largest boogies in the midwest every year and very well organized.

I know they lost a Cessna 206 last month due to an engine failure on takeoff. Thankfully nobody was injured. Read NTSB report CEN12LA224.

If you end up flying there, let me know and I'll come exit your plane some weekend. I've been meaning to visit that place for years and never gotten around to it.

That's what the guy on the phone said.. I guess I was hoping it was the 182 they lost.. Was a pretty nice 206. He said they have a new plane coming in to replace it by the end of this week though, didn't say what type.
Will let you know what happens!

Have fun... I have never done it but I hear you get to see lots of, well you know, when you fly jumpers.
Offers to smoke a lot of weed?
What I think you're alluding to, the tandem guys pretty much have you beat. After all they did just save their life. ;)
